Congratulations to the Competition Squad for taking second place in this year's Mid-State Cheerleading Competition!  Way to go girls!  Your coaches are very proud of all your hard work!

The cheerleaders will be practicing at Isom Elementary Gym from 3:30-5:00.  Then the girls will be bused to the GHS gym for the remainder of the competition practice.  Practice will be over at 7:30, please pick your daughter up at GHS. 

Remember to bring $5 to the game Thursday for snacks.  The $5 will be used to buy snacks before each competition practice.  The snacks will be in Ms. Nicholson's room, just remember to come in after school to get your refreshment. 

The football game against Martinsville East will be played at Martinsville West. 

Middle School Night at GHS is scheduled for Friday, September 5th, at 7:00pm.  See the attached document "GMS night at GHS" for further information. 

Reminder:  Team pictures are scheduled for Thursday, September 11th after school on the football field.  Make sure you bring your completed picture form if you are ordering pictures. 

Make sure you are completing the Competition workout each night.  Please practice the routine and make sure you know all the motions before next practice!

Remember to bring any music ideas you have for Competition to your next practice on Tuesday September 9th.

The GMS cheerleaders attended cheer camp this summer at Indiana Universtiy in July.  The cheerleaders were dedicated and worked hard throughtout camp.  The cheerleaders' exceptional ability led them to winning several awards; they brought home four blue ribbons, three spirit sticks, won the first place trophy for their Home Pom Dance, received a Most Improved Trophy, and the Superior Award Trophy.  Way to go cheerleaders!!
